The case against the Dearborn District Court, which was featured on Channel 7 News, will finally head to trial. Fett & Fields client Simone Calvas's case was initially set to go to trial on February 28th. However, the Court of Appeals postponed the trial so that it could consider the defendants last minute plea to avoid trial. After briefly considering the defendant's motion for stay, the Michigan Court of Appeals ordered the case to trial, which is now scheduled for May 23rd.
